College Girls
Boston College 16 - Tennessee 2
The Eagles of Boston College moved on to the Championship game with relative ease over the Cinderella Volunteers. Kelly McLaughlin led all scorers with 8pts for the Eagles, and Sarah Connelly played great inside with 5pts. Micaela Dionne scored the 2pts for Tennessee.
UMASS 12 - Duke 9
The Ladies of Umass squeaked by the #1 seed Devils of Duke behind the strong play of Ahley Espinal’s 8pts. Nicole Sadoway had breakout game for Duke with 8pts mostly breaking out in the open for easy baskets. Brianna Rodriguez, played very well for Umass with 2stls and 4pts. rachel Zipper also played well for the Blue Devils.
Pro Girls
Lynx 22 - Rockers 14
Marissa Garey, scored 11pts for her Lynx while Carly Theriault, provided another 7pts. Ashley o’Keefe was unable to keep her scorching hand from the Opening round but still played well scoring 4pts. Crystal Garcia, 3pts and Hannah Wilkins, 2pts, playeda well for the Rockers. Vicky Njugana scored 4pts helping her team towards the championship game.
Sparks 28 - Sun 11
The great run of the Sun ended with a semifinal loss to the top seed Sparks. Alix Bryant, 10pts and Brenna Burke, 8pts were too strong a pair for the Sun. Ivelyse Arroyo, led the Sun in scoring with 8pts followed by Vanermi Figueroa, who scored 4pts accounting for the Sun’s totl output.
