The Hoyas offered a tremendous effort to defeat the Orangemen. Gabriel and Xavier Polanco combined for 19pts and quite a few steals to power Georgetown. Jefferson Akers led Syracuse with 14pts and chris Matton scored 7pts. Robert Simard and eachscored 4pts in the Hoyas win.
UCLA 23 - Duke 20
UCLA remained unbeaten by outpacing Duke thanks to Melvin Guzman and Alex Smith 8 and 7pts respectively. Matt Wilson also put up points for the Bruins with 6. Jared Louf-Woods played very well inside against UCLA scoring 13pts. Ryan Madden and Brian Lora each added 2pts.
Providence 45 - Oregon 39
Billy Muse and John Crimble had an epic battle in the prime-time game each accounting for 23pts, however Muse and his Providence squad won out in the end. Matt Marquez was Oregon’s main weapon inside with 14pts. The Friars received key contributions from Matt Muse, 10pts, 4assts and Jeff white 6pts.
North Carolina 22 - Michigan 12
The Tar Heels ground out a win over the Wolverines. Isaiah Hodges dominated the glass and scored 10pts for NC. JT Kapnis and Mitchell Osgood each scored 4pts and Austin Shea chipped in 2pts for the win. Kelly Abreu, 10pts, accounted for nearly all of Michigans offensive output.
