Christa Leger, 14pts, single handedly outscored Kentucky in opening night action. Alexa Gilbert led the way for Kentucky with 8pts coming mostly from outside shots. Jackie Pannenton, 4pts, and Abriella Stevens, 2pts, also contributed to the ‘Nova win.
Duke 15 - Tennesse 13
Rachel Zipper and Meghan Zipper each scored 4 pts in their teams win, but Hannah Malarkey, 5pts, was lead scorer for the Blue Devils. Tennesse Center Alexandrea Bozarjian supplied most of her teams offense in the win with 9pts, Villory Rijker added 2pts for the losers.
Boston College 15 - Umass 11
Ashley Espinal and her 10 pts just wasn’t enough to get past the Eagles. Scoring came from all over for the Eagles, Shyla Stokes, Hannah Van De Staht and Caitlin Connoly all had 2pts for BC. Robin Hendry nailed a key free throw late to help her team and Kelly McLaughlin led the way with 8 pts for The Eagles.
