Spurs 40 - Jazz 35
In the first official action of the season, the Spurs defeated the Jazz behind the strong play of Randy Valero, 11pts. The Jazz were powered by Taylor Norris and Figgy, who each scored 6pts, but Kyle Gauthier, 10pts, was the main scoring option in the loss. The Brothers Abreu, Dionil and Kelly, combined for 15pts and supplied tremendous defense for the winning team.
Knicks 32 - Celtics 22
Christian Dunston, 15pts, and the rest of Knick team ran all over the Celts, sneaking out into the open floor for lay-ups all night. Chris Vaille had a nice game inside providing 8pts with as many rebounds. Brendan Broderick, 3pts 4stls, had a big game defensively leading to many of the open lay-ups that his teammates reaped the benefits of. One of them being Nick Salamida who chipped in 6pts.
Magic 22 - Lakers 21
The prime time contest saw the only game to be decided in the final seconds. Jeff Peras dominated all game long inside, scoring 10pts and snagging 8rebs. Troy Gilbert 7pts and Nick Walsh 4pts complimented Peras from the perimeter with timely shooting touch. However in the deciding possesion Jonathon scored 2 of his 7 pts to seal the deal. Jesse Williams 4pts and Ben Kapnis 7pts helped with their teams scoring proppeling them to victory.
