College Girls
#2 (5-2) North Carolina 20 - #3 (5-3) Michigan State 6
In the first semifinal of the night the Tar Heels defeated the Spartans. Alexandria Bozarjian was the top scorer with 12 pts for NC. Brianna Rodriguez scored 2 pts for the Spartans and played great defense. Kelly McLaughlin led Michigan State with 4 pts. Mirlene Bozarjian 4 pts, Alexa Gilbert 2 pts and Erica Palm 2 pts each also scored for the Heels.
#1 (6-1) Boston College 14 vs #4 (4-4) UCONN 10
In an exciting contest the Eagles outlasted the Huskies. Michaela Thibault and Ashley Espinal were tyhe leaders of the Eagles scoring 4 pts each. Chyla Stokes was the main offensive weapon for UCONn scoring 6 pts. Kelly Sweeney rounded out the scoring for the Huskies with 4 pts. Rachel Zipper was the maestro for BC running the point and scoring 2 pts.
Pro Girls
#2 (7-1) Lynx 28 vs #3 (5-3) Shock 10
The Lynx crushed the Shock on the strength of Amanda Wilkins 15 pts and Courtney Maurice’s 13 pts. Shannon Sholds did all she could with two of her teamates not present scoring 6 pts; Olivia Mento, 3 pts, also scored for the Shock. Karlee Theriault scored 3 pts and evalise had 4 pts. Ashley Speliotis pulled down three rebounds in her teams win.
#1 (7-1) Liberty 24 vs #5 (4-4) Rockers 12
The Liberty continued their roll towards the finals by beating the Rockers. Jasmine Bryant, 9 pts, 8 rebs, led her team to victory with the help of Kayla Murhpy, 6 pts 4 rebs. Marissa Garey, played very well for the Rockers scoring 5 pts and pulling down 6 rebs with 1 blk. Micala Gaffney was big for the rockers as well scoring 4 pts, with 4 rebs. Micala Donahue chipped in with 6 pts, Alex Carterelli had 3 pts and Alix Bryant pulled 7 rebs and scored 2 pts on a follow.
