College Girls

#2 (6-2) North Carolina-16 vs #1 (6-2) Boston College-10

The top two seeds squared off in the finals with North Carolina coming out on top. Alexandria Bozarjian scored 10 pts, with 5 rebs and 1 stl to pace the Heels. Ashley Espinal, 4 pts, 7 rebs, 2 stls was the main force on offfense and defense for the Eagles. Alexa Gilbert added 4 pts for the champions.

College Boys

#1 (8-1) UCLA-32 vs #3 (5-4) Georgetown-29

Bruins stay on top all season. UCLA beat Georgetown on the strength of Marvin Baez who amassed 26 pts, 16 rebs, 4 stls, 2 blks and 2 assts. Jonathon Swasey, 8pts 1 asst, led the Hoyas for most of the game with the help of Jarrod Louf, 4 pts 6rebs, inside and Austin Shea, 4 pts, from the wing. Nick Lathan, Kevin Ngyuen and Brandon Zicky were the other scorers for the Bruins with 2 pts each. Despite feeling under the weather and sitting out most of the game, Nick Salamida, played well scoring 11 pts and grabbing 6 rebs with a steal in the last five minutes including a clutch 3 pointer that brought the Hoyas comeback within a possession in the last 30 seconds, however Baez simply wouldn’t let it happen.

Pro Girls

#1 (8-1) Liberty-30 vs #2 (7-2) Lynx-18

Bryant’s steal show. Jasmine Bryant dominated the Lynx inside and out with 18 pts, 13 rebs, 5 stls and 1 blk while coasting to the championship. Alix Bryant showed great heart by scoring 6 pts and matching that same total in rebs. Amanda Wilkins provided most of the output for the Lynx with 9 pts and 5 rebs, Carlee Theriault, 4 pts and Maria Rodriguez 2 pts also chipped in for the Lynx. The Liberty also received contributions from Micala Donahue, 4 pts 2 rebs, and Alex Carterelli 2 pts 1 reb.

Pro Boys

#2 (7-1) Knicks-55 vs #5 (4-4) Spurs-53

The Spurs kept it close all game, thanks to lead scorer Brad Skeffington, 19 pts, 6 rebs, 2 blks 1 asst. With 10 seconds left down by 4 the Spurs coach called on Billy Muse, who drilled the clutch three pointer to dwindle the Knicks lead to 1 pt. However in their final Rec game Dario and Raphi Medrano would not be denied finally capturing a title, both scored 20 pts and combined for 10 rebs and 5 stls. Big Billy Garey played very tough inside for the Spurs scoring 15 pts and snagging 14 rebs to go along with a nifty assist he dropped off to Skeffington. Battling Garey inside for the Knicks was Andrew Barbuzzi, 7 pts. Jordan Castillo produced for the Spurs with 8 pts and 4 rebs. Christian Dunston and Juan Fernandez each scored 4 pts coming off both their 2 steal to help in their teams victory.
